7 posts since starting the blog.

A post with a really really really really long title, I don't know why you would do this, but whatever floats your boat

Just checking that post titles wrap correctly in the post header and get cut with an ellipsis in the main header.

Speculative evolution

Speculative evolution (or speculative biology) is a genre of speculative fiction and an artistic movement focused on hypothetical scenarios in the evolution of life, often considered hard science fiction because of its strong connection to and basis in science.

Works incorporating speculative evolution may have entirely conceptual species that evolve on a planet other than Earth, or they may be an alternate history focused on an alternate evolution of terrestrial life.

Natural history of the Moon

A landscape photomontage, with small rocks submerged in water in the foreground, a volcano in the background, and a giant moon in the sky.

Artist's impression of the Moon as it might have appeared in Earth's sky after the Late Heavy Bombardment, around 4 billion years ago. Tim Bertelink.

After the Moon formed it settled in orbit around Earth much closer than today, making it appear much larger in each's sky and causing more frequent and stronger eclipses and tidal effects. Since then, due to tidal acceleration, the Moon's orbit around Earth has become significantly larger as well as longer, tidally locking the so-called lunar near side, always facing Earth with this same side.

Lorem Ipsum

In publishing and graphic design, Lorem ipsum is a placeholder text commonly used to demonstrate the visual form of a document or a typeface without relying on meaningful content. It may be used as a placeholder before final copy is available.

Lorem ipsum is typically a corrupted version of De finibus bonorum et malorum, a 1st-century BC text by the Roman statesman and philosopher Cicero, with words altered, added, and removed to make it nonsensical and improper Latin.
